MY PRIORITIES

MAKING EVERY DOLLAR GO FURTHER

Maywood Park has a limited tax base. I want to pursue every reasonable opportunity to bring outside resources into our community and make our local dollars go further.

PRIORITY 1: BRINGING OUTSIDE FUNDING

Show ME The Money

Maywood Park should be proactive—not passive—when it comes to finding resources. I want to identify grants and other funding opportunities at the regional, state, and federal levels that can help pay for projects our community needs.

My professional experience navigating government agencies, permitting processes, and funding opportunities gives me a practical understanding of how to pursue these resources. I also bring experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the environmental review requirements that can come with federally funded projects. That means I understand not just how to find funding, but how to anticipate the regulatory requirements that can affect a project from the beginning.

I want Maywood Park competing for every grant we are eligible for.

PRIORITY 3: A PLACE FOR EVERYONE

Invest in the Community We Love

A strong community is more than roads and infrastructure. It’s the places where neighbors gather, connect, and build a sense of belonging. I support pursuing grants and partnerships to create a welcoming, usable community space at The Commons—one that can support neighborhood events, traditions, and everyday connections.

I envision thoughtful improvements such as a small playground for children, comfortable seating and gathering areas for adults and older residents, and spaces that give people of all ages a reason to spend time together.

LET’S MOVE MAYWOOD FORWARD — TOGETHER.

PRIORITY 2: PROTECTING OUR RESIDENTS

Plan Smart. Protect What We've Built.

Maywood Park’s infrastructure is aging, and maintaining and replacing it will be one of the most important challenges facing our community in the coming years. Our streets and underground systems—including water, stormwater, and wastewater—will require thoughtful, long-term planning and investment.

I support planning ahead rather than waiting for aging infrastructure to become an emergency. We need to protect homeowners, prioritize projects based on need, and make the most of local, county, regional, state, and federal funding opportunities.
